Fairer Housing Public Meeting: Ending the Housing Crisis

Ending the Housing Crisis: Can Community Campaigns be supporter by local Councils or are they part of the challenge?

How did we get to a situation where a child can be left to die in a cold, damp home; where families are forced to spend a decade or more in so-called ‘temporary accommodation’; when people are spending 50% of their incomes on rent; and very few can even dream of owning their home?

Fairer Housing brings together families who are hardest hit by the housing crisis. We work together to understand the reasons for the crisis and to call for the changes needed to give everyone the chance of a decent, safe and affordable home.

We hope that you will support our campaign. Please join our online discussion on 20th April at 6.30pm when we will be talking about the role of local Councils. Should Councils be campaigning with us to further our aims or are they part of the problem?

This promises to be a lively debate with contributions from councillors and community groups. Do join us and help us to plan the next stage of this vital campaign. Further information from jacky.peacock@advice4renters.org.uk
